Battersea Park Children’s Zoo announces “Winter Nights” an after-dark Christmas event

This December, Battersea Park Children’s Zoo invites you to experience the zoo after hours with a brand new “Winter Nights” event. For three exclusive evenings, the zoo will open its doors after dark for a seasonal event to delight animal lovers of all ages.

Taking place on 6th, 13th, and 20th December from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, the zoo will be filled with festive cheer. Visitors will see how the zoo's residents prepare for bedtime and observe their nocturnal habitats. There will be new exclusive special keeper talks by lantern light revealing fascinating facts about the zoo's animals and their winter routines, as well as the chance to meet and greet the friendly farm animals. 

The seasonal Winter Lodge will host a fun selection of festive crafts, games and activities for all ages. 

"We're incredibly excited to host our first-ever Winter Nights," says Jamie Baker, Zoo Manager, "It's a chance for families and friends to create magical memories while experiencing the zoo in a completely different way. From engaging activities and heartwarming animal encounters, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

To add to the Winter Nights’ ambiance, each night will feature live bandstand performances that range from choirs and classical quartets to contemporary soloists. There will be plenty of opportunities to sing along to carols and festive tunes. 

Battersea Park Children’s Zoo has partnered with Ruffled Truffle, a well-renowned local caterer to provide a wide range of festive treats that will be available for purchase at the event, including warming BBQ favourites (including tasty vegan options too). The Zoo Cafe will be selling a variety of alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, seasonal winter warmers, and hot drinks to keep visitors cosy throughout the evening.
