What is your favourite animal to work with at the zoo and why?
My favourite species to work with at the zoo is our Capuchin monkeys: Carlos, Medellin and Diablo. I enjoy seeing how smart they are, as well as their very expressive faces.
What conservation project do you currently support and why?
It wasn’t something I was even aware of before I started working at Battersea, but I’ve become increasingly keen on our Bali Starling breeding project. I’ve learned a lot from the team at Battersea Park Zoo about this species and how we can bring it back from the brink of extinction.
If you could bring one species back from extinction, what would it be and why?
I’d probably bring back a large species of dinosaur like a brachiosaurus so I can see how big they are in person.
Which animal at the zoo would you say has a personality most similar to yours and why?
I would say I have a similar personality to Carlos the capuchin, because despite being an intelligent species we both certainly have our dumb moments. We also both scream the place down if our brother has stolen our food.
What is your favourite thing about working at BPCZ?
My favourite thing about working at Battersea Park zoo is getting the opportunity to work with such a wide variety of species whilst working with such a supportive team.
