General Information 

The Oxford Sandy and Black is a breed of domestic pig originating in Oxfordshire, England. Named for its colour, which is a base of sandy brown/ginger with black patches, the breed is also sometimes called the "Plum Pudding" or "Oxford Forest pig.

This old English breed has neared extinction twice and is currently listed on the Rare Breeds Survival Trust watch list as vulnerable with approximately 300-500 individuals remaining. They are currently facing a comfortable revival thanks to the conservation efforts underpinning the oxford sandy and black pig society.
